An excited crowd gathered below Cardington R101

Lord Thomson smiled benevolently into the flashing cameras while reporters furiously scribbled. He cleared his throat and began in his baritone, gravelly voice.
    "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and listeners. It gives me great pleasure to speak to you from the Royal Airship Works at Cardington in Bedfordshire, home of the British airship industry for more than ten years. It is with pride that I announce, today, the beginning of the New British Imperial Airship Program and I am here to describe my vision of  a future fleet of luxurious airships that will compete globally with ocean liners."
